Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohern Ltd. has a place over at A/43, Ambica Nagar, near Anand Nagar in Bharuch. It’s a simple office located in a part of the city that feels very familiar to anyone who lives here. We don’t have any of those glass walls or high-tech security systems you see in the big cities. It’s just a solid door and a set of keys. Inside, the shelves are filled with binders that hold years of records about the steel pipes we manage. Most of the work involves talking to suppliers and making sure our logistical charts are updated. The traffic on the road outside can be quite loud during the morning rush, but the office itself stays fairly quiet most of the time. We have a small table in the corner where we sit to have our tiffin at lunch. It’s a time to relax and catch up before getting back to the phones and the typing. We don't use a lot of fancy language when we describe what we do because there’s no need for it. We handle the business of steel, and that’s a pretty straightforward thing. Some days are more hectic than others, especially when a big shipment is due, but we just take it as it comes. It’s a plain, honest workspace where we focus on doing the job right and going home satisfied with the day's effort.
