Systems & Automation

Our office is in B-107 over at Mangle Jyot Society. It is right on the Dahej Bypass Road so we see a lot of trucks and cars going by all day long. The noise is constant but you stop hearing it after a few months of working here. Systems & Automation is what we do, which mostly means we spend our time looking at control panels and working out how things should move. It is a small place and we have desks squeezed in between some of the equipment we use for testing. It can get a bit cramped when all of us are in at the same time. We usually have tea together in the morning before the phone starts ringing. There is a lot of paperwork to deal with because of the bypass road logistics and people coming in to ask questions. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy like that. If you come by, you'll probably just see us working at our computers or talking about a project. The society building is older so we have to fix the lights or the fans sometimes. It is a practical way to spend the day. We are not trying to be anything we are not. We just show up, do the automation work, and try to keep things running smoothly for the people who rely on us. It is just a regular job for us and we keep it simple.
