Our shop is tucked away in Janta Market -2, right near the Bata store and across from Adarsh Market. It’s a busy corner of the town with people constantly passing by the front door. Most days at Ahura Signs Estree Arts are spent huddled over a table working on whatever project is due. You’ll usually see paint on our clothes and scraps of material littering the floor by the end of the day. Because we keep so many signs and tools around, the space feels a bit cramped. The market outside is always noisy with traffic and people shouting. We are just a small crew making things, so there isn’t a big staff or a fancy reception area. Sometimes the lights are a bit dim, but we’ve learned to work with it over the years. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so we are on good terms with the other shopkeepers nearby. It’s a very practical sort of place. We don’t care about decorating the office much because the focus is always on the signs. During the monsoon, the rain drums loudly on the roof and we have to be careful about the damp. It’s just part of being in this location. We open up early, get through the list of tasks, and head home when it’s done. There is nothing fancy about it, just us staying busy in the market.
