Shivangi Industries

Out here in G.I.D.C. Ankleshwar, it is all about the factories and the heat. We are located at Plot No.I/75, right in Phase I. It is a heavy industrial area, so it is noisy and there is always a truck backing up somewhere near the gates. We do manufacturing here, mostly focusing on the day-to-day production runs. Our space covers 85-86 as well, so we have a bit of room to move things around. The heat in the summer can get pretty bad inside the sheds, but we have got fans going all the time. We are not a huge corporation, just a local industry trying to get the orders filled. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the night fixing them ourselves. It is just part of the life here. Most of the guys working here live nearby in Narmada Nagar. We know each other's families and what is going on in the neighborhood. We do not have a marketing department or anything like that. People find us because they know we have been here for a long time. We just focus on getting the specs right and making sure the crates are packed properly. It is hard work, greasy and tiring, but it is what we do. We have been through the ups and downs of the economy right from this plot. We just keep the gates open and the machines running every single day.
