She One

Our little shop is called She One and you can find us at Lalka House, which is right at Hatdi Sheri Naka in Bajwa. It’s a small place but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve been here for a bit now, and the locals in Bajwa know us well. The street outside is narrow, like most lanes in this part of town, so you can't really bring a car right to the door. Hatdi Sheri Naka is always lively with people going about their business and kids playing nearby. We carry things for women, mostly small accessories and clothes. It’s a bit of a squeeze when there are more than three or four people inside at once, but we make it work. We have some shelves along the walls and a small counter where we sit to do the accounts. The building itself, Lalka House, is an older structure, so it has some character and thick walls. We try to keep things tidy, but with all the small items we stock, it can get a bit messy by the end of the day. We don't do any big advertising or have a website. Most of our customers are people who live just a few streets away or pass by on their way to the market. We sit near the door to catch whatever breeze comes down the lane during the hot afternoons. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time. We know the names of most of the people who come in. We just try to keep things stocked.
