Our yard is located at 132 in Phase II of the GIDC. If you come by, you’ll see plenty of heavy metal and painted machines sitting out in the sun. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a lot of noise from the neighbors and the sound of loaders moving around. We spend a lot of time out there in the heat, checking on the equipment and making sure everything is greased up and working right. The workshop floor is often messy with oil spills or metal shavings, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with construction gear. We have a small office tucked into the corner where we keep all the records and talk to the guys who come in looking for machinery. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear your best clothes. Everyone here has a bit of dirt on their boots by lunchtime. We work on things like mixers and hoists, mostly heavy stuff that takes a few people to move. The days go by pretty fast when you’re busy fixing a motor or welding a frame. We’ve been in this part of GIDC for a good while, so we know most of the people on this street. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, handle the machinery, and try to get the orders out of the gate as soon as they’re ready for the site. It's nothing fancy, just a lot of grease and solid work.
