Our place, Remi Metals Gujarat Ltd., is tucked away at 13/2 Navi Vasahat, near the Lahori Godaun in Bharuch. It's a bit of an older part of the area, and the godowns around here have been standing for a long time. Working in a warehouse setting means you get used to the smell of iron and the sound of heavy doors opening. We don't have any flashy signs or a big lobby. It’s mostly just us and the inventory. Some days are busier than others depending on what’s coming in. We spend a lot of time organizing things so we can find them later. It’s practical work. The Navi Vasahat area is usually bustling with activity in the mornings. We see a lot of the same faces every day. It feels like a small community of workers. We just try to keep the place tidy, though it’s hard with all the metal moving in and out. There’s a lot of heavy lifting involved. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit messy, but we manage. We aren’t interested in being the biggest company around. We just want to do our bit and go home. People know where to find us if they need something sorted. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got a small desk for the paperwork and plenty of space for the stock. That’s all we really need to keep going. It is what it is, just a metal godown.
