About Panjarapol - Panjrapol Kava Bhagol – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Bharuch
Down near the police station in Jambusar, that’s where you’ll find the Panjrapol. It’s a place that’s been part of the landscape here for as long as anyone can remember. We mostly look after the animals that don’t have anywhere else to go. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the feed arrives and everyone is running around. Bhalchandra C Shah helps out a lot with the oversight of things. It’s not a quiet job, as you can imagine with all the cows and other creatures we have here. The smell of hay and old stone is something you get used to pretty quick. We aren’t a high-tech operation. Mostly it’s just hard work, cleaning stalls and making sure everyone is fed. The building is old, with thick walls that keep it a bit cooler when the sun is beating down on Panjrapol Kava Bhagol. People from the town often stop by to drop off donations or just to see the animals. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most of the news about what we're doing travels by word of mouth at the local tea stalls near the station. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to get everything we need, but we make do with what the community gives us. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. You won't find any corporate logos here, just people who care about the animals and the town. We've been here for many years.
