We are out at Plot No-4 in the Saibaba Estate, which is part of the Zak GIDC area. To get here, you have to take Jalundra Road. We are pretty much opposite the India Godown, so that’s the best landmark to use if you’re lost. Being in a GIDC estate means we are surrounded by small factories and warehouses. Orisa Rural & Urban Producers Association is a bit of a long name, but we are just a group of people working together on production stuff. The building is a basic industrial structure, nothing fancy to look at. Inside, it’s mostly workspace and storage. The roads out here can be a bit rough, especially when it rains and the mud gets everywhere. We start our day early before the sun gets too hot, though the tin roof still makes it warm inside by noon. We don’t really have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We handle a mix of things depending on what the producers have ready. It involves a lot of moving boxes and checking lists. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles; we just try to make sure the products get from the rural areas to where they need to go. It’s a lot of coordination and simple hard work. We mostly just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the association running smoothly. That is how we operate daily.
