We are based at Plot No. 2/6/b in Phase-1 of the GIDC Industrial Area in Narmada Nagar. It’s a decent sized plot. We’ve put in a lot of hours here over the years. The workshop is where we spend almost all our time. It’s got high ceilings and those big metal doors that are heavy to slide open in the morning. We do various industrial processes here. It involves a lot of heat and heavy lifting sometimes. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know the machines as well as I do. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they’re also in the Narmada Nagar area. It’s a lot of word-of-mouth. The office is just a corner of the main floor partitioned off with some plywood. It’s not much to look at, but it’s where we keep the books. We deal with suppliers every day, mostly local ones. When the monsoon hits, the roof leaks a little in one corner, so we have to move the stock. We keep meaning to fix it. That's just how it is running a place like this. You fix things as you go. We just keep our heads down and get through the work. After we shut down the machines, the silence in Phase-1 is quite something. It’s just us and the night watchman walking around.
