Mohini Lifters

Setting up Mohini Lifters at Plot No.B-9 was a big step for us. Meera Nagar Link Road is always moving, and being right opposite the Bank of Baroda makes it easy for people to find where we are. We spend most of our time out in the sun, moving things around and making sure the equipment is behaving. It’s not exactly quiet around here with all the cars and bikes rushing past, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Some of us have been working these lifters since we were much younger. We don’t really bother with fancy uniforms or big meetings. We just show up, see what needs to be moved, and get to it. The office is small and usually has a bit of grease on the floor from someone’s boots. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on this road, but we’re still here at our plot. The guys like to eat lunch under the shade of the big tree nearby when the afternoon heat gets too much. It’s a simple life, really. We handle the heavy stuff so other people don’t have to. Sometimes the machines break down and we spend all night fixing them, but that's part of the job. We don’t talk much, we just work. If you walk past the bank, you’ll probably see us out there in the yard, just keeping things moving one day at a time.
