This branch of the engineering construction company is based out in the Tuticorin district. Specifically, we are located in Puliankulam, which is part of the Kulathur post area in Vilathikulam. It is a bit of a trek to get out here from the main town, but this is where the main operations are handled. The address is actually tied to A. Balakrishnan’s place. It is a rural setting, very different from the big city offices you see in magazines. We spend a lot of time dealing with the local geography and making sure our construction projects in Tamilnadu stay on track. The sun can be really harsh out here, so we tend to start our work very early in the morning before it gets too hot to think. Our team is small and we all wear many hats during the day. One day we might be looking at blueprints and the next we are out checking on equipment in the dirt. It is practical work. There is not much around us except fields and a few houses, so it is usually quite peaceful until the machinery starts up. We have been here long enough that everyone in the village knows who we are. We do not have a big sign or anything, just a simple place where the engineering side of things gets sorted out.
