Virja Enterprise

Virja Enterprise is tucked away in the Gidc Mega Estate at Plot No. 824/12. The Mega Estate is a massive place, so you really have to know the plot numbers to find anyone. Our unit is just one of many in a long row of similar buildings. We do our best to keep our little area tidy, but with the kind of work we do, there’s always a bit of a mess by noon. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a long time. There’s a lot of manual work involved, moving parts and making sure the machines are fed. We don't have air conditioning, just a few big wall fans that we keep running all day long. Lunchtime is usually quiet, we sit outside if it’s not too hot or just stay at our benches. The estate roads can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we have to be careful not to track it all inside. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just do our work and the people who need us know where to come. It’s a practical way to run a business. We stay focused on the tasks at hand and try to get everything out the door on time. Plot 824/12 might just be a number to some, but it’s where we spend most of our lives and we're okay with that.
