Britannia Industries Ltd.

We are over at Plot No. 23 in the GIDC Mega Estate. It is a huge industrial area, and we fit right in with the rest of the big sheds. Being at Britannia Industries, we are mostly focused on the production side of things here. You can usually tell where we are by the smell of baking that drifts out when the ovens are going. It is a big operation, but we try to keep it feeling manageable. The floor is always busy with workers in their uniforms and hairnets. It is a lot of repetition, but everyone knows their role. We do not have a lot of time for standing around and chatting. There is always a belt moving or a pallet being loaded. The estate itself is full of trucks and other companies, so it is a constant drone of engines outside. We have got our own little routine inside the gates. We have our tea breaks at the same time every day, and that is when the place finally gets a bit of quiet. It is hard work, especially on the night shifts, but it is steady. We do not use fancy words to describe what we do. We just bake the products and pack them up so they can get to the shops. It is a straightforward business. We just try to keep the machines clean and the output high without overcomplicating things. Most of us have worked in this estate for years.
