Jhagadia Copper Ltd,

Our place, Jhagadia Copper Ltd, is right near the Varai Mata Temple in Nava Borbhatha. Most people in Ankleshwar use the temple as a guide to find us. Since we’re in the Bharuch district, we get a lot of humidity from the river, which makes the work feel a bit heavier. We have the copper works set up right there on the lot. You can hear the temple bells ringing in the mornings when the machines aren’t running yet. The building is an older one, with some cracks in the concrete and paint that’s seen better days. We don’t really mind the look of it. It’s a working yard, not a showroom. We spend our time moving metal and checking the weights on the scales. There’s always a layer of fine dust on everything, even if we sweep every hour. The guys who work here mostly come from the villages around Nava Borbhatha, so it feels like a small community. We drink a lot of tea and sit in whatever shade we can find when we have a break. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a front desk with a secretary. You just walk in and find one of us in the yard. We deal with the copper, handle the trucks, and try to finish up before the sun goes down.
