Hindalco Industries Ltd,Unit-Birla Copper

We’re located at E-15/6 in the Birla Copper Township in Dahej, which is in the Bharuch district. Being right in the township makes it easy for us since we’re so close to the actual plant operations. It’s a company area, so everything is pretty structured and quiet. The office is part of the residential-style buildings here. We handle a lot of the day-to-day administrative things for the Birla Copper unit. There is always some paperwork to file or some logistical issue to sort out. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit if you were looking for a fancy corporate headquarters. It’s more of a functional space for staff to get their work done. We see the same faces every day, mostly other employees living in the township. The weather in Dahej can be pretty harsh with the salt and the heat, so we stay indoors mostly. Our desks are usually covered in papers and folders. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don't try to impress anyone who comes by. We just want to make sure the work is finished so the plant runs like it’s supposed to. It’s a very practical life here. We go to work, we do the hours, and then we are already home because we live so close. It is a simple routine that works for everyone involved in the daily operations.
