Hindalco Industries Ltd., Unit: Birla Copper

Our setup for the Birla Copper unit of Hindalco Industries Ltd is located right in the middle of the Birla Copper Township. Specifically, we are at E11/3. It is part of the Po Lakhigam area in Dahej, which is in the Bharuch district. Being in a township means that work and life are very closely linked. Most of us live just a short walk or a quick ride away from where the main industrial work happens. It is a busy environment because Dahej is such a major hub for industry in Gujarat. Our office at E11/3 is where the paperwork and the small day-to-day meetings happen. You can hear the sounds of the plants in the distance, but the township itself is its own little community. There are trees planted along the roads and people going about their business at all hours. We don’t really do anything flashy here. We just follow the schedules and make sure the copper unit is supported. Lakhigam is a name that everyone in Bharuch knows because of the sheer scale of the operations here. We handle a lot of the logistical bits that keep things running smoothly. It’s a practical way to live and work, and after a while, you get used to the industrial rhythm of the place. We are just a small part of the Aditya Birla Group family down here in Gujarat, keeping busy with the daily grind.
