Hindalco Industries Limited, Unit Birla Copper, Dahej

Our part of Hindalco Industries Limited is the Unit Birla Copper located out in Adityana. It’s in the Ranavav Taluka, which is a bit of a trek if you aren't used to the local roads. This area has a different pace compared to the bigger cities. Being in the Ranavav district means we are surrounded by a lot of open land and some rugged terrain. The work we do here is focused and quiet. We don't get many visitors unless they have business with the copper unit. The sun hits the buildings hard out here, and the wind can kick up a lot of sand. We have a small crew and everyone knows what their job is. It’s the kind of place where you wear sturdy boots and don't worry about getting your clothes a little dirty. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, you’ll just find someone in work clothes checking a ledger or talking on a mobile phone about a shipment. Ranavav is a place where people value hard work and not much else. We don’t have much to say in an "About Us" section because we’d rather be out on the floor or in the yard. We are just a group of people keeping the Birla Copper unit running in this corner of Gujarat. It’s a basic life, but it’s ours, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset.
