Shell Pearl Ceramics Ltd.

We’ve been over at Plot No 19 in the Gidc Mega Estate for a while now. It’s mostly just us working with ceramics every day. It gets dusty in the shop, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with clay and kilns. The machines make a lot of noise, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started Shell Pearl Ceramics Ltd. because there was a need for it here. Most of the folks working here live nearby, so we’re a pretty tight group. Some days are busier than others, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late to get everything fired right. It isn’t fancy work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have a big office or anything like that, just the floor where the work gets done. If you come by the estate, you’ll see our sign. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes tiles get stacked in odd corners. That’s just life in a factory. We focus on making sure the pieces don’t crack and the finish looks okay. It’s steady work and we’ve been doing it long enough to know the quirks of the materials. Not every batch comes out perfect, but we sort through them. It’s just what we do here at the Gidc spot. People know us as a reliable place even if we don't do much advertising. We just like making things out of clay and seeing how they turn out after being fired.
