Param Tex

You can find Param Tex over at plot 267 in the GIDC. It’s a pretty standard industrial unit, like many others in this part of Gujarat. We focus on textiles, so the main sound you’ll hear inside is the constant hum and click of the machinery. The building is basically a large shed with some small rooms off to the side for the books and a place to sit. It’s not the cleanest place, as there’s always a bit of lint or thread floating in the air, but that’s just the nature of the work. We’ve got a small group of workers who show up every day to keep things moving. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. Everyone just helps out with whatever is needed, whether it’s moving rolls of fabric or fixing a jammed machine. The roads in the GIDC can be pretty rough, especially after it rains, but the trucks still manage to make it to our door. We’ve been operating out of 267 for quite a few years now. We don't do much in the way of promotion; our work usually speaks for itself among the people who know us. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of life. We get the orders in, we make the textiles, and we send them out. There’s no mystery to it. We just try to do a decent job and stay busy enough to keep the lights on.
