Ark Textile is out in the GIDC area, specifically at 417 in the 3rd Phase. It’s a very industrial setting. There are no parks or fancy shops around here, just factories and trucks. Our unit is quite large because we need the space for all the fabric rolls. It can get very loud with the machinery running, and there is always a bit of a smell of cloth and dye in the air. We don’t have a fancy front desk or a receptionist. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor working. We have been in the 3rd Phase for a long time now. The work is physically demanding and we are usually pretty tired by the end of the day. We don't have a website or do any kind of online marketing at all. Most of our orders come from people we have known for years. It’s a straightforward business. We buy material, we process it, and we send it out. Sometimes things go wrong with the machines and we have to spend half the day fixing them instead of producing. That’s just part of the job. We don't have any big corporate goals or things like that. We just want to keep the machines running and the orders moving out of the door. It’s a tough environment but it’s what we know. The tea stall down the road is where we spend our breaks and talk about the news.
