You can find us at Plot No. 104-105. It’s a decent sized space where we do all our work with malleables. It’s mostly metal and casting stuff here, so it’s never really quiet. We’ve got the furnaces and the molds going most of the day. Vishal Malleables Ltd. isn’t some high-tech glass building. It’s a real factory with grease on the floor and soot on the walls. That’s just the nature of the business we are in. We spend a lot of time checking the parts and making sure the heat is right. Some of the guys have been working these plots for years and they know the machines better than anyone. The yard gets a bit cluttered with scrap and finished pieces waiting to go out. It’s a lot of physical work and sweating over the pots. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to log an order. Most of the life of the business happens on the shop floor. It gets pretty loud when the heavy machinery is running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We take our tea breaks together under the shade when we can. It’s a straightforward operation. We make the parts, we load them up, and we move on to the next batch. Nothing too complicated, just honest labor at the plots every single day.
