We are located out at Plot No. 2/6 in the village of Jolva, which is part of the Vahej area. It is a large site because we need a lot of room for the machines that make the yarn and filaments. Being in a village area means it’s a bit quieter than the city but the factory itself is never silent. We have many people working here on different shifts to keep the production lines moving. The work involves a lot of monitoring the spinning machines and making sure the thread is right and consistent. It’s a very technical process but once you’ve been here for a few years it becomes second nature. The warehouse is huge and filled with tall racks of finished products. We have trucks coming in and out of the gates all day long to transport the goods. The weather here can get quite dusty and hot especially during the dry months. We have a canteen where everyone gathers for their breaks and it’s usually the busiest part of the building. Most of our day is spent on the shop floor checking the equipment or in the lab looking at samples. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations in the office area because we are focused on the manufacturing side of things. It is a hard-working environment where everyone has a specific role to play. We just keep our heads down and make sure the output stays steady throughout the week.
