If you head out to Dahej, you’ll find us at Plot S-163 in the industrial estate. It’s a long drive from the main city, and the landscape is mostly just large plants and wide roads. We’ve been set up here for a while now. The air always has that industrial tang to it, which is pretty standard for this part of the GIDC. Our building is a simple structure that does what it needs to do. Inside, it’s mostly about the tanks and the pipes. We aren't big on meetings or long discussions; we mostly just check the gauges and make sure the batches are coming out right. It gets really hot in Dahej during the summer months, and the shed can feel like an oven sometimes, but we have our fans going. We eat our lunch together in a small corner that we’ve cleared out. It’s a quiet life in a way, even with the noise of the machines, because we are so far out from the bustle of Ahmedabad or Surat. We deal with the logistics of getting things in and out of the port area, which can be a headache when the trucks are backed up. But we’ve figured out the timing over the years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a corporate image. We just run the plant and go home when the work is finished for the day. Usually we are pretty tired by then.
