Char Bhuja Masala

Out here in Kosamba Village, things move a bit slower than the big cities. We are located in Mangrol Taluka, and our place is right near the police station. If you ask anyone where the masala shop is, they usually point you toward us. At Char Bhuja Masala, we spend a lot of time grinding and mixing. The machines make a bit of noise, but that’s just part of the job. Being near the police station means there’s always someone around, which is good. We’ve got a small setup where we handle everything ourselves. The village life suits us well. We know most of the farmers who come by to drop off raw materials or just to say hello. We don’t have fancy signs or big lights. It’s just a plain building where we work with spices all day. Sometimes the dust from the peppers makes everyone sneeze, but we just laugh it off and keep going. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of red or yellow powder by noon. We clean it up at the end of the shift, then start again the next morning. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn until the sun goes down. People from all over the taluka come by when they need something for their home cooking. We just give them what they need and have a quick chat about the weather or the local crops. It’s a simple life here.
