Agarwal Plastics

Agarwal Plastics has been operating out of Plot No. D-13 in the Gidc Indl. Estate for quite some time. If you walk into our shop, the first thing you notice is the smell of heated plastic and the sound of the injection machines clicking away. It is a noisy environment, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of our hours watching the molds and making sure the bins don't overflow. The Gidc estate is always crowded, and getting a vehicle into our loading dock is a daily struggle. We have a small crew and most of us have been here since the beginning. We don't have a human resources department or a big marketing team. If you need something, you usually just talk to the person standing nearest to the machine. The floors are stained with oil and there are crates stacked up to the ceiling in the back corner. We keep a calendar on the wall with all the delivery dates, though things often change at the last minute. It’s a hot job, especially in the summer months when the machines are running full tilt. We just keep our heads down and produce what's needed. There’s no secret to it, just a lot of manual work and making sure the machines don't break down on a Friday afternoon.
