Faruki Brick Filder

We spend most of our days out here in Chak Saray, right near the toll plaza. If you know the Auraiya district, you probably know where Annaram village is. It’s a busy spot with all the trucks passing by the toll all day long. Our work at Faruki Brick Filder isn't fancy at all. We just focus on getting the bricks made and stacked up. Usually, the sun is pretty hot on the kilns, and we have to keep an eye on the fire even through the night sometimes. It gets very dusty, but that is just how it is with bricks. People from the village come by to help or to get what they need for their own houses. We’ve been here for a while now. The address is easy to find because we are so close to the main road. Sometimes the rain slows us down, and we have to cover everything up with plastic sheets in a hurry. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving things around. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small place to sit and some tea for when neighbors stop by to chat. We just try to keep things moving along every day without making a big fuss about it. The stacks of bricks grow and then they go out on the tractors to various sites. It’s a simple cycle. Most of us here have grown up around this kind of work. It’s what we know.
