Sharma Clinic

Out here in Kahma Tehsile, we’ve been running this clinic for a while now. It’s a quiet area for the most part, except for when the harvest is happening and there are tractors everywhere. Our clinic is just a simple building that we keep as clean as we can. It’s not very big, but it’s enough for what we need. We have a few benches in the front where people can sit and talk while they wait. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of fans and the breeze from the windows if it’s a good day. We don't use computers to keep track of everything. We still use the big paper ledgers where we write everything down by hand. It takes a bit more time, but it’s how we’ve always done it. Most of the people who come to see us are farmers or shopkeepers from the tehsile. We’ve known some of them since they were little kids. It’s a small community, so everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. We don't do any kind of promotion or advertising. We just stay open during our hours and wait for people to come in. If someone feels better after visiting us, they tell their neighbors, and that’s how we keep going. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s good work and we are happy to be here in Kahma Tehsile. We just take things as they come every day.
