Azad Seed Company

Working at Azad Seed Company means being right in the middle of the action in Bharatpur. We are located in the New Mandi area, very close to the ICICI bank. If you’ve ever been to a mandi, you know exactly what it’s like—lots of noise, farmers coming in with their loads, and plenty of dust in the air. We deal with seeds, so our place is usually full of heavy bags stacked up high. The smell of earth and dried grain is just part of the job. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in from the surrounding villages. They want to know what’s good for the current season, and we just tell them what we have in stock. There’s no fancy showroom here, just a counter and a lot of storage space. When the bank next door gets busy, the street outside gets even more crowded with motorcycles and people. It’s a hectic place to be, but we like the energy of the market. Our hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the sacks, and the floor needs sweeping every hour, but that’s the nature of the seed business. We’ve been part of this mandi community for quite some time now. We don't do much in the way of fancy talk; we just weigh the bags, take the payments, and help load things up. It’s honest work that follows the seasons.
