Krishna Iron & Pipe Store

Krishna Iron & Pipe Store is located on Numish Road, right near the bus stand in Bharatpur district. Being so close to the bus stand means it’s always a bit chaotic outside with people coming and going. We have been here for years, dealing with heavy iron rods and various types of piping. It’s heavy work and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. The shop itself is mostly a storage space for the inventory. We spend our time loading and unloading trucks that pull up in the narrow space out front. It gets incredibly hot in Bharatpur during the summer, so the metal gets warm to the touch. We try to keep things moving so customers don't have to wait around in the heat for too long. We aren't big on decorations; the walls are just plain and covered with some old calendars. We have a small desk where we keep the books and handle the cash. Most of the people who buy from us are builders or farmers from the nearby villages who need materials for their projects. They trust us because we’ve been in the same spot for so long. We close up when the last few buses are leaving the station for the night. It’s a tiring job but it feels good to see the stuff we sell being used to build things all over the district.
