Girls Collegebharatpur

Our college, often just called the Girls College, is literally located inside the Fort in Bharatpur. It’s a unique spot to be in. Being inside a historic fort means the walls are thick and the atmosphere is a bit different from a modern building. We have been here in Bharatpur for a long time. The 321001 zip code is where our staff and students live and work. It’s a busy area with a lot of history around every corner. We don't have a marketing department writing fancy stuff for us. We are just a group of teachers and administrators making sure the girls here get their degrees. The classrooms are old but they have a lot of character. We deal with the usual Rajasthani heat by keeping the windows open to catch any breeze. Most of our day is spent in the office or the lecture halls. There’s no corporate polish here. We talk to parents about their daughters' progress and we organize the yearly exams. It’s a straightforward life. Sometimes tourists wander near the entrance thinking it’s part of the museum, but we just point them the right way. We are proud of being part of the fort's life. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s ours. We just keep the registers updated and make sure the bells ring on time. It’s a regular college in a very old place. We handle things as they come.
