To be honest, we are just a group of local people who decided it was time to get organized properly. Farming around here can be hit or miss depending on the season, so having a company helps us stay a bit more grounded. We handle a lot of the local produce and try to find ways to make the whole process smoother for everyone involved. The building isn't much to look at, but it serves its purpose for storage and meetings. We spend our mornings checking on the crops and our afternoons dealing with the logistics of moving things to where they need to go. It’s hard work and the sun is usually hot, but that’s the life we chose. We don't have any fancy slogans or promises. We just want to make sure the food we grow gets to people and that the farmers get paid what they deserve for their sweat. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we learn and move on to the next day. Being in Bhandaripokhari means we are close to the land and the people we serve. It’s a simple life, focused on production and staying honest with our neighbors. We just keep our heads down.
