Vitthu Baba Medical

I work over here at Vitthu Baba Medical in Sangadi H O. It is a small place and we have been here for quite some time now. Most mornings I start by sweeping the front step because the dust from the road just settles everywhere overnight. Sangadi is a quiet area but the H O can get busy when people are coming in for their mail or other chores. We keep all the basic medicines that people need for their families. It is not like those big fancy pharmacies you see in the city with bright neon lights. We just have wooden shelves and a simple counter. Sometimes I forget where I put the smaller boxes, but I usually find them after a minute of looking. People around here know me by name and they just walk in to tell me what they need. We don’t have a computer system that does everything, so I write things down in a ledger. It has a blue cover and is getting quite thick. The ceiling fan hums all day and it’s a sound I’ve grown to like. We stay open as long as there is light and sometimes a bit longer if someone sends word they are coming. It’s just how we do things in Sangadi. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a medical shop for the local people who live nearby. That is the whole story really.
