Vak India Books

Vak India Books is located at number 4 in the Zp Colony, right off Ganeshpur Road near the NH-6 highway. Being so close to the highway means we get a lot of trucks rumbling past, which can be a bit loud. The shop is a simple house-like structure that we’ve converted to hold all our inventory. We have stacks of books everywhere you look. It’s not the most organized place, but we usually know where everything is buried. We don't have a big staff, so if we're in the back, you might have to call out to get our attention. We started this because we saw a need for these materials in this area. It’s a bit out of the main town, so it’s quieter here than in the center. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. We just put the books on the shelves and let people browse. Sometimes people get lost trying to find the colony, but once they arrive, they usually stay for a bit to look around. We don't have a polished sales pitch or anything like that. We just talk to people like neighbors. It’s a practical business. We keep our overhead low and just focus on getting the books to the people who want them. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and sorting through titles, but it keeps us busy every day.
