Ganesh Marble Industries

We are set up right off N H 6, near the old Nagpur Octroi. Being so close to the highway means it’s easy for the trucks to get in and out, but it also means there is a lot of noise and dust. We work with marble, so dust is just a part of our life here. Everything in the shop usually has a thin layer of white powder on it by the afternoon. We spend our time cutting stone and moving heavy slabs around. It is tough work that requires a lot of strength and care so we don't break anything. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s mostly just the open yard and the workshop. We’ve been here long enough that we don't mind the heat or the hard labor anymore. It’s just what the job requires. People come to us when they need stone for their projects and we show them what we have available. We don't use a lot of fancy sales talk because the marble speaks for itself. Some days the machines act up and we have to spend time fixing them, which can be frustrating. But that’s just how it goes with this kind of industry. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the stone is cut right and the orders are ready for pick up at the yard.
