Mahindra Logistics

Out here in Bhandara, things move at a slightly different pace than the big cities. Mahindra Logistics is located in the Takiya Ward of Kapil Nagar. It’s a straightforward setup. We don’t have a big glass building. Instead, we have a functional space where we manage the transport and storage needs of the area. Sachin Nandanwar and the rest of the crew are usually busy with the local logistics. The weather gets really hot in this part of Maharashtra, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. Our office is simple, just a few chairs, some cupboards for files, and a lot of logbooks. We know most of the people who come through the door by their first names. It’s a community where word of mouth matters more than anything else. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at the site making sure everything is loaded correctly. Sometimes things get a bit messy when it rains, but we just deal with it. We aren't trying to be anything other than a reliable place for people to get their stuff moved. There isn't any fancy marketing here. We just show up every day, drink our chai, and make sure the trucks are on the road. It’s a lot of practical, everyday work that keeps the local economy moving along, and we are quite happy being a part of this small town's daily life.
