Kendriya Vidyalaya

In the town of Bhandara, our school is a well-known landmark. It’s one of those places that feels very steady and reliable. We don’t have a fancy street name to give you, just Bhandara, and everyone seems to find us just fine. The school grounds are fairly large, giving the kids enough room to run around during their breaks. We have the standard yellow buses that go out into the neighborhoods every morning and afternoon. Inside, the building is painted in plain colors and the floors are made of hard stone that stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We have a small library where the books are a bit old but still readable. The teachers here are quite practical people. They focus on the work at hand and don't spend much time on fluff. You’ll find the usual things in the classrooms—maps on the walls, chalk dust on the floor, and rows of bags piled up in the corners. It can get pretty loud during the change of periods, but that’s just how it is with so many kids in one spot. We spend a lot of time making sure the registers are correct and that the building is kept clean enough. It’s an honest way to make a living, looking after the local kids and making sure they learn their basics. We’ve been doing this for years and don't plan on changing much.
