Jai Santoshi Maa Vidyalaya

Jai Santoshi Maa Vidyalaya is based in Koodal Nagar, which is part of the Bhandara area. It’s a local school that serves the families living in this part of town. The building isn't very large, but we make use of every bit of space we have. We have a few trees in the front that give some shade during the afternoon sun, which is nice for the students when they are waiting outside. Inside, the walls are covered with some old charts and maps that have been there for years. We don’t have a computer for every student or anything like that. We mostly use books and notebooks. The teachers walk around the rooms, checking on everyone’s progress while the fans rattle overhead. Bhandara can get quite warm, so we try to keep the windows open for some air. Sometimes a stray dog wanders into the yard and we have to shoo it out. It’s just normal daily life here. We don’t have a big front office with a receptionist; usually, you just find whichever teacher isn't in a class if you need to ask something. We keep our own records and manage the building repairs ourselves when we can. It’s a humble place, and we are just here to provide a spot for the local kids to get through their schooling years without any unnecessary complications or fancy talk about things that don't matter to our day.
