Indian Metal And Minerals is in Sahuli Village, which is in the Bhandara Taluka. We are near Jawaharnagar, but definitely out in the more rural part of the district. The surroundings are mostly fields and other small workshops. Being in the metal and minerals trade means our yard is always full of heavy stuff. It can get quite loud when the loading is going on, but that’s just part of the job. Our office is a small, simple room near the front gate. We have some old fans that make a bit of noise but they keep us cool enough. Most of the people working here are from Sahuli or the nearby villages. We’ve known each other for a long time. There’s no corporate hierarchy here; we just all pitch in where needed. The roads out here can get a bit rough during the monsoon, which makes it tricky for the big trucks. We’ve had to pull a few out of the mud over the years. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. It’s a lot of physical labor and a fair bit of paperwork to keep track of it all. We usually end the day with some tea and a look at the schedule for tomorrow. It’s an honest living in a quiet part of Bhandara. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes.
