Hariom General Stores

Out here on Bhandara Road, things are a bit spread out. We are at Sharda Niwas, right opposite H B Town, near the old Pardi Naka. It's a spot that most people know if they live around this part of Bhandara Road. The store isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place with a lot of stuff piled up. We spend a lot of time organizing the bags and the boxes that come in every few days. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to wait around. Being near the Naka means there is a lot of movement. You see a lot of the same people every morning. Some stop for one thing, others fill a whole bag. It gets a bit cramped inside when more than three people come in at once. We’ve got shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, so sometimes we have to use a small stool to reach the top items. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people still find us. It’s a quiet enough area when the traffic dies down in the evening. We don't really do much besides keep the place stocked and chat with the regulars. Life on Bhandara Road moves at its own pace. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how a small shop works. Nothing fancy. We keep the floor swept, but the wind always brings more dust in.
