C. S. College

Starting early here in Deori is just how things go for us. The college is right in this part of Gondia, and mostly people from around the neighborhood show up for their classes. It isn’t some fancy glass building you’d see in a big city like Nagpur. We’ve got desks that have seen better days and a courtyard where students stand around talking between their lectures. Sometimes the fans in the main hall make a bit too much noise, but we just get on with it and keep talking louder. Dealing with the paperwork takes up most of my afternoon, especially when admissions are open and everyone is in a big hurry to get their names on the list. You’ll find us on the main stretch in Deori, Maharashtra 441901. There are usually bicycles parked out front and a lot of dust if the wind picks up from the road. We try to keep the hallways clean, though with so many feet coming through all day, it’s a constant job for the cleaning staff. Lunch breaks are usually quiet, with the teachers sitting in the back room eating from their metal dabbas. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any big flashy signs, just the name on the front of the gate. People around here know where we are. If you walk past the local shops, you’ll see the entrance easily enough. It’s been here a while now and has become part of the daily routine for most folks living nearby.
