You can find us over on Dr R.P Road in Bhagalpur. We are right by the Arbind Showroom, which most people in this area use as a landmark. Marwari Pathshala is also just a short walk away, so we get a lot of students and parents passing by the front of the shop. Bhagalpur is a busy place, and this road is one of the main veins of the city. We spend our days dealing with construction materials, land papers, and talking to workers. The office is simple—just some chairs, a main table, and a lot of files. We started Shiva Developers because there was a lot of building happening around here and we wanted to be a part of it. It’s not a glamorous job. There is always dust on the shoes and phone calls that go on for too long. We try to keep things straightforward with everyone who walks through the door. Usually, someone is always here from ten in the morning until late evening. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the fact that people know where we are and what we do. Our family has been in this town for generations, so we care about what we build here. We take things one day at a time without much fuss.
