Shikshansh Public School

Our school is tucked away in Patelnagar, over in the Baikunthpur area of Sultanganj. If you know Bhagalpur, you know it can get pretty crowded, but our little corner is mostly just houses and families. We’ve been running Shikshansh Public School for a while now. It’s not a massive campus with stadiums or anything like that. It’s more of a neighborhood place where parents feel okay dropping their kids off on their way to work. We spend a lot of time just making sure the kids are actually sitting down and paying attention. You know how it is with young children. The rooms are basic, just the essentials really. We focus on the books and making sure they can read and write properly. During the rainy season, the roads around here get a bit muddy, but the kids still show up with their bags and umbrellas. We have a small staff, mostly locals who have been with us since the start. We don't do big advertisements. Usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor recommends us, and that’s how we get new students. It’s a quiet life most days, except for lunch breaks when it gets a bit chaotic. We just try to keep things organized and make sure everyone is learning something useful. It feels like a big family sometimes because we know everyone's name and where they live. The morning prayer is a bit loud, but the neighbors have gotten used to the sound of it after all these years.
