Sharda Pulses

Sharda Pulses is located over by Chatrapati Talab on the Jagdishpur Bhagalpur Road. We are near the Zero Mile marker, which makes it easy for the trucks to find us. We deal in different kinds of pulses and grains. The building is more of a warehouse than a shop, really. We spend most of our time cleaning, sorting, and bagging the lentils and grams that come in from the farms. There is always a smell of raw grain in the air here. We sell to smaller shopkeepers and sometimes to families who want to buy in larger quantities. It’s a busy spot because of the location near the main road. The dust from the pulses can get everywhere, so we are always sweeping up. We aren't a big company with many offices; it’s just a few of us working in the shed and handling the bags. We keep track of the market prices and try to stay fair. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to fix it ourselves to keep the work moving. The area near Chatrapati Talab is usually active, and we fit right into the local trade. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and come by when they need stock. It’s a simple life of buying and selling what the local farmers grow. We’ve been doing this for a long time and the routine stays pretty much the same every season.
