Sarv Gyan Ganga Foundation

Sarv Gyan Ganga Foundation is located in Sabour. We are based at Sona Devi’s house in Village Sabour, specifically within Tola Sabour and Block Sabour. It is a very local setup. We don’t have a fancy storefront or a big office building. We just use a part of the house to keep our things and meet with the people from the village. Sabour is a place where people look out for each other, and we wanted to be a part of that. We focus on knowledge and learning, but not in a way that feels like a stiff school. We just want to help the folks in our block get access to information that might help them. Sometimes that means helping a student with books or helping an adult learn a new skill they can use to find work. It’s all very practical. We don't use big words or make grand promises. We just do what we can with the little bit we have. Most days you can find a few of us sitting around talking about local issues. We know the struggles of the families in the Tola because we are their neighbors. Our doors are usually open to anyone who wants to stop by. We aren’t looking for fame or money. We just want to see Sabour doing well. It’s a quiet life, but it’s a good one, and we are glad to be here doing this work together.
