M/S Sri Ram Stone & Construction (P) Ltd

You can find us on the 5th floor of the Sadbhawna building on A.C. Road here in Bhagalpur. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. We deal with stone and construction work, which is heavy, honest labor. Bhagalpur is our home, and we’ve seen a lot of changes on this road over the years. Our office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s filled with site maps, calculators, and a lot of tea cups. We spend a lot of time worrying about the weather because rain can really ruin a construction schedule. The stone side of things is also tough, dealing with quarries and transport. We just try to get the materials where they need to go. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Bihar; we just want to do our jobs and go home to our families. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and everyone is stressed out about a deadline. Other days it’s quiet and we just catch up on the books. It’s a real business run by real people who sometimes make mistakes but always try to fix them. We don't have a PR person. It’s just the same few of us in the office every day. We’ve been here a long time and hope to stay for many more years, just doing the work.
