Lal Hospital

Lal Hospital is located right near the railway station, so you can imagine it gets pretty noisy with the trains passing by all the time. It is an old building and we have been here for quite some time now. Being so close to the station means we see all sorts of people. Some are just passing through and need something for a headache or a stomach issue, while others live right down the street. The floors are that old-fashioned tile and the fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. It is not a quiet place, but hospitals rarely are. We have the main wards and a few smaller rooms for patients. You can hear the announcements from the platforms if the wind is blowing the right way. It is a busy spot because of the location. We do not have any of those fancy modern lobbies you see in the big city hospitals. It is just a place for people to get better. The staff here has been around for years and we all just know the routine. We deal with whatever comes through the door, whether it is someone who tripped on the tracks or just a local with a bad cold. It is a bit cramped sometimes when it is peak travel season and more people are around, but we manage to find space for everyone. It is just how things are at a station hospital. It is practical and always open for whoever walks in.
