Sri Raj Handloom Export

We are based in Aliganj and we work with handlooms. It’s a traditional way of making cloth that has been around this area for a very long time. Our work involves a lot of weaving and handling different kinds of fabrics. Even though we do export things to other places outside the country, the actual work happens right here in our local workspace in Aliganj. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a modern office. It’s mostly just looms, thread, and finished piles of cloth waiting to be packed into boxes. The people working here have been doing this for years, so they know the patterns and the feel of the material by heart. We don’t go in for big marketing talk or complicated mission statements. We just focus on getting the weave right and making sure the colors are what they should be. Aliganj is a quiet enough place to get the work done without too many distractions from the outside world. Some days the looms are going all day long and it gets quite loud inside the building. Other days we are just busy with the packing and checking the fabrics before they ship out. It is a slow process compared to modern factory machines, but that is just how handloom works. We like the way the cloth turns out when it's done by hand. It’s just a group of us here, keeping the old ways of weaving alive while sending the goods out.
