District Field Monitor

My name is part of the District Field Monitor team and we are located in Bhagalpur, Bihar. You can find our office at Dr Prem Nath Ranjan's place in Poddar Toli Lane. It’s in the Jogsar area, specifically near Naya Bazar. The pin code is 812002 if you’re looking it up. Bhagalpur is known for its silk, but we spend our time on monitoring work out in the field. The office itself is in a bit of a residential lane, so it’s not on the main noisy road, which is a relief. It’s a typical Bihar neighborhood with houses close together and people always out on their porches or walking by. We use this spot as our home base to coordinate where everyone needs to go for the day. There are a few of us who work out of here, mostly surrounded by stacks of reports and maps of the district. It’s not a very big space, but it’s where we do all our planning and data entry. The lane can be a bit tricky to navigate if you have a big car, so most people just walk or use a bike. We’ve been based in Jogsar for a while now. It’s a convenient location for us because it’s central to the areas we need to monitor. We keep things simple here. A few chairs, some tables, and our field gear like tablets and clipboards. That’s about it for our little setup in Bhagalpur.
