Amit Tyre House is over on Jail Road in the Nirmoli Hight building. Tilkamanji is a part of town that stays moving, and we are right in the middle of it. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the strong smell of new rubber. We have stacks of tires everywhere. Some are for small cars and others are much larger for trucks. It doesn't leave a lot of room to walk around, but that is just how a tyre shop is. We spend our days lifting heavy wheels and using the air compressor. The noise of the impact wrench is something you get used to after a few days. We are usually covered in some kind of black dust from the tires and the rims. It is physical work and it keeps us moving. Jail Road can get quite noisy with all the cars passing by, especially during the morning rush. We see a lot of people who have had a flat or just need their wheels balanced. We don't have a waiting room with fancy chairs or a television. Most folks just stand around and chat with us while we finish the job. It is a practical place. We focus on the task at hand and try to get people back on the road. There isn't much more to it than that. We have been in Nirmoli Hight for a bit now and the daily routine stays pretty much the same for all of us.
